Alaska Native Tribal Resource Center on Domestic Violence

The Alaska Native Tribal Resource Center on Domestic Violence (ANTFC) will offer a comprehensive array of statewide community education, training, and technical assistance to Indian tribes and tribal organizations, specifically designed to enhance the capacity of the tribes (Alaska Natives) and tribal organizations to respond to family violence, domestic violence, and dating violence in a culturally sensitive and relevant manner. The ANTRC will be part of a network of national and special issue resource centers providing leadership and support to the existing programs serving victims of domestic violence and their children.

Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) for Tribes and Tribal Entities

The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) is a federally funded block grant  that provides funds to Tribes to support services that alleviate the causes and conditions of poverty in under resourced communities. Tribes provide CSBG funded services and activities including:

    • Housing
    • Nutrition
    • Utility
    • Transportation assistance
    • Employment
    • Education
    • Other income and asset building services
    • Crisis and emergency services
    • Community asset building initiatives

Disaster Assistance for State Units on Aging (SUAs) and Tribal Organizations in Major Disasters Declared by the President

Grants awarded under this announcement are to provide disaster reimbursement and assistance funds to those State Units on Aging (SUAs), and federally recognized Tribal Organizations who are currently receiving a grant under Title VI of the Older Americans Act (OAA), as amended.  Eligible SUAs and Title VI grantees should discuss all disaster applications with ACL Regional staff before submitting a formal application.

Community Facilities Direct Loan & Grant Program

This program provides affordable funding to develop essential community facilities in rural areas. An essential community facility is defined as a facility that provides an essential service to the local community for the orderly development of the community in a primarily rural area, and does not include private, commercial or business undertakings.
