Incarceration statistics for Native Americans including men, women, and juveniles are alarmingly high. Please join Carma Corcoran, PhD (Chippewa-Cree), Director – Indian Law Program at Lewis and Clark Law School to learn about using Gentle Action Theory and Native ways to work with families impacted by the legal system and incarceration. Some questions we will discuss: What are some of the needs of the parents and the children who are involved in the legal system? What are some of the similarities between Gentle Action and traditional ways? How can we use Gentle Action Theory as a possible approach to work with these families?
