The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is accepting applications for the fiscal year (FY) 2021 Local Community-Based Workforce to Increase COVID-19 Vaccine Access. Applications are due Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Given the existing inequities in COVID-19 morbidity and mortality burden, it is critical to improving vaccination coverage in communities with high proportions of racial/ethnic minority groups and economically and socially marginalized individuals. The purpose of this program is to address COVID-19 related health disparities and advance health equity by mobilizing community outreach workers to educate and assist individuals in getting the COVID-19 vaccination.
